How to Survive the Last Month of School
Hannah Schaeffer ’27
It's been a long school year, but it's practically over now. Though there's only a month left of classes, some see this period as the most difficult due to upcoming finals. This is also the last push of the year and many students feel like they have no more energy to continue their schoolwork. It can be difficult to keep up during this time, so here are some tips to prevent falling behind on your schoolwork:
Try studying outside. Since summer is around the corner, the weather is warmer. Studying outside can put you in a better mood and help you feel productive. You can even do this at school by going out to the field to get sun and study at the same time.
Stay consistent. You might feel the urge to slack because you feel burned out, but you should keep putting in as much effort as before. Don’t give up — it is, after all, the final push of the school year.
Take breaks. It's even harder to focus during this time of year, so a great way to stay engaged in your homework is to take a break when you feel yourself getting distracted. You can take short breaks in between working by taking a walk, listening to music, doing something artistic, or making a snack.
The most important thing is that the school year is almost over, and you just need to stay focused for one more month! Think about the great summer you will have coming ahead.
