BHSEC Students’ Advice to Freshmen
Robin Fuller ’27
For many of us, freshman year can be one of the most nerve-wracking years. Navigating a new school, new people and a new environment is both exciting and overwhelming at times. Luckily, there are many people at BHSEC who understand what you are going through and are willing to support you! Here I have compiled some of the advice returning BHSEC students would like to give to those who are just starting out:
“Use your office hours to your advantage”
- Anaya ’27
“Join clubs that interest you and don’t lose sight of your goals”
- Lee ’27
“Use your free time productively!”
- Issac ’28
“Don’t turn in your work at 11:59, go to sleep”
- Adrina ’27
“Devolop skills to better manage your time and work”
- Alina ’27
“Bard is a fast moving school, so it’s important not to procrastinate, because turning in work late will bring your grade down.”
- Suly ’26
“Get a planner and use it as often as you can. Also talk to your guidance counselors"
- Violet ’27
“The pizza place on Columbia st. is cheaper and better than the Ave D pizza place.”
- Ashton ’26
We hope your first year at BHSEC is a great one!
