Remedies for Social Distancing Guide

A guide created by fellow classmates of things you can do now to make your time at home a little more enjoyable!

Self Care

  1. Face masks

  1. Meditate

  2. Make homemade scrub

  3. Don’t stay up too late every night

  4. Change out of pajamas each morning so it feels like a real day

  5. Set a routine (get up at the same time every day, eat meals at regular times, get some fresh air, etc) -- follow your regular school schedule for some structure, even if you’re just doing online work at that set time

Activities

  1. MAKE A QUARANTINE VLOG SERIES

  2. Draw or paint

  3. Make friendship bracelets

  4. Organize your room/closet  

  5. Play a ton of board games

  6. Write poetry

  7. GROUP FACETIME #houseparty

  8. Write a song and journal 

  9. Make DIY candles

  10. Study for the SAT/ACT/SAT2s

  11. College research

  12. Read outside (on your fire escape)

  13. Duolingo -- learn another language

  14. Practice an instrument

  15. Learn Tik Tok dances

  16. Learn something new!  (instrument, craft, language, gardening, Ayurveda) 

  17. Play a lot of Minecraft

  18. Play SIMS 4 (currently $6 on Origin)

Food To Make 

  1. Earl Grey Yogurt Cake  

  2. Apple cider donuts  

  3. Fruit tart

  4. Whipped coffee

  5. Risotto! If you have a pressure cooker it’s 10/10

  6. Homemade challah is a win. 

  7. Muffins Galore 

  8. 3 ingredient nutella brownies 

  9. Kombucha 

  10. Apple Cinnamon Cake

  11. Try to perfect the chocolate chip cookie

  12. Flourless Brownies

  13. Baked apples :)
